We are very excited at Torqueblade to offer the next generation in Torqueblades. Based on the demand of many of you folks out there, and a deep regard for the environment we at Torqueblade have decided to produce blades made out of a hard wearing, renewable source with a low carbon foot print. In short, the blades are now made from wood, to be precise Hickory. Hickory is a dense material and long lasting if looked after properly. The blades have been coated in linseed oil which offers a water proof protection and the relationship bewtween the weilder and the Torqueblade becomes organic. The overal weight of one Torqueblade and two Companionblades (0ne unit) is 972 grms or 34oz or 2lbs 14oz.
We at Torqueblade are very happy with the new material and in the near future there may be more exotic woods available depending on demand. If you have any requests for certain woods (and a flexible wallet) please contact us.
